Complaining is a Garbage Magnet

Why is it so easy to complain? Whether it’s something your boss said to you at work or something your spouse did that makes you crazy, it’s all too easy to complain. But is complaining solving the problem or just making you a gossip?

In today’s episode, Anna explores why we complain and how our complaints usually bring out complaints from the other person. Sometimes we just need to vent – which can feel cathartic – but normally us venting brings about venting from the other person. Soon we’re sitting in a cyclone of complaints and negative feelings without any real solutions in sight.

Listen in as Anna explains:

  1. How complaining produces a vicious cycle of negativity
  2. What you give (complaining) you get back (complaining)
  3. Why it’s easier to have venting sessions instead of difficult conversations with those we complain about
  4. How these difficult conversations can lead to growth for both people
